National Champions again
Kingston Ladies were crowned National Champions again at the weekend convincingly trouncing some wannabe opposition. As defending champions the stakes were high and there were rumours that other crews had been training hard this year, whereas we'd managed only a single session with our ladies crew in the run up to the big event. However, from the G of the Go there was little doubt as in both the 200m and 500m events the ladies pulled out a huge start and raced off down the course.
The weekend also saw Kingston Royals with two crews bashing it out in the open and the mixed categories with everyone coming away with a medal of some sort. Silver for the seniors, bronze for the pretenders in the open plate competition and something else for the Royals (it's a bit hard to keep track sometimes) A great second overall in the overall club competition as well.
